Determination of
Final Grade
Note that Lab attendance is Required and you will lose points for non-attendance and/or lack of participation.
Each of the 4 lab exams will count 17% toward your final lab average. Any exam not taken will receive a grade of “0”.
The average of the MAP homework assignments will count for 17% of your final lab average. MAP assignments completed after the due date will have a late penalty assessed. MAP assignments not completed will receive a grade of “0”. No MAP assignments can be completed after 5/1.
A daily average will count for 15% of the final lab average. Your daily grade will be determined by attendance (5%), daily work (5%), and Dynamic Study Module (DSM) Pre-Lab assignments (5%). The DSM assignments are due at the START OF LAB (12noon) on the due dates listed. Any DSM not completed prior to the due date/time will receive a grade of “0” and no make-ups are available. A Mastering A&P access code is required to access the DSM.

Calculating your LAB Averages:
Lab Extra Credit = (RLB quiz/20) + (OO & course policies quiz/20) + Group Project
Lab Exam Average = (Lab Ex1 + Lab Ex2 + Lab Ex3 + Lab Ex4 + MAP average + Lab Extra Credit) / 5
Final Lab Average = (Lab Exam Average * 0.85) + (Daily Average * 0.15)

No grades are dropped when calculating averages.
There are NO “re-takes” on any exam or quiz. Exams & quizzes that are not taken well be counted as “0”.
Course Policies
Instructor Policies For the full list of Course policies and procedures, read the Orientation and Course Policies documents posted in the Course Information folder on the course website.

This is a hybrid lab which requires you to complete pre-lab assignments. The pre-lab assignments are Dynamic Study Modules completed on the Pearson Mastering A&P site. An MAP access code is required to access the Mastering site. The pre-lab DSM are due at the BEGINNING of the lab on the dates indicated on the DSM list. DSM assignments not completed by the due date will receive a grade of 0. The average of the DSM will average into the Daily Grade.
Mastering A&P homework assignments are also completed on the Pearson Mastering site. A Mastering A&P access code is required to access the online MAP homework assignments. MAP assignments completed after their due date will have a late penalty assessed. MAP assignments not completed at all will receive a grade of "0". No grades are dropped.
Exams will be given online and it is your responsibility to have a functioning computer and reliable internet source in order to take exams during their scheduled time. Installation of Respondus Lockdown Browser (RLB) is required on any computer to be used to take an exam/quiz. MOST VERSIONS OF CHROMEBOOKS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RLB AND THUS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE USED TO TAKE EXAMS. It is the responsibility of the student to have a functioning computer and internet in order to take exams during the scheduled period of availability for each exam. Computers in LSCPA computer labs and Student Success Center are available for use for exams.
Exams not completed by the end of the availability dates will be available for the following TWO days with an incremental time penalty assessed. Exams not completed will receive a grade of 0. No grades are dropped.
